BBC Radio 5 Live Scores Exclusive F1 Broadcast Rights on BBC Sounds
Radio 5 Live, 5 Sports Extra, and Sounds have acquired exclusive British Formula 1 radio broadcasting rights for the coming three years.
Damon Hill, who previously won the world championship, has joined the 5 Live team starting from the 2025 season. This season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix happening this weekend.
Jennie Gow and Rosanna Tennant are handling presenting and pit lane reporting duties, while Harry Benjamin will be the lead commentator alongside Ben Edwards.
5 Live, 5 Sports Extra along with the Sport website will provide live coverage of race commentaries, encompassing both qualifying and practice sessions.
"Should Lewis Hamilton switch teams to join Ferrari, Max Verstappen aims for a fifth successive championship, and Lando Norris seeks his inaugural driver’s title, this season could potentially become the greatest one ever witnessed," Gow stated.
Hill will team up with Sam Bird, who drives for the McLaren Formula E squad; Alice Powell, previously of the W-Series; and Marc Priestley, a ex-F1 race mechanic.
